Can You Design and Engineer Stamped Drawings That Will Meet Construction Codes in Indiana?

Asked by Chuck on October 24, 2013

I have a general concept of a timber frame building that I would like our park staff to construct. They have completed some basic timber frame projects constructing small shelter houses.
Primary question, can you design and engineer stamped drawings that will meet construction codes in Indiana?

Answered by Doug Friant

Hi Chuck,
We can absolutely design to meet the codes in Indiana. We have done several projects there. Fort Harrison, pictured below, is an example of a timber frame pavilion designed and engineered by Vermont Timber Works that was constructed in Indiana.

Although, we generally only design and engineer buildings that we fabricate in our shop. Would you be open to having us fabricate a timber frame kit for your staff to assemble and erect? Occasionally we do design only jobs, but it is rare.

Thanks for your question,

Doug
