We worked with Sarazin General Contractors, Inc., Wiles and Associates Architects to build custom douglas fir timber roof trusses for the entry and lobby of this vocational school. The trusses feature a solid round steel plate in the center for aesthetics. Our commercial steel supplier for the project, American Steel, is capable of cutting almost any decorative shape with their CAD/CAM plasma cutter. We are also able to send them exact CAD shop drawings so our timber and their steel match perfectly.
This timber frame features traditional wood joinery and steel rods with a decorative plate. Click on the following links to view .pdf's of the framing plans.
