We worked with Watermark Marine Construction on the beautiful little timber frame boathouse on Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. It features semi-sanded hemlock timbers, minwax stain, curved braces and enough strenght to support an overhead boat lift.

Find photographs of the timber frame below, along with a 3d.pdf. Click on the images below to view high resolution photographs. See more on Sandy's Blog.

Click on the image to the left to download a 3d rotateable .pdf that can be viewed in Adobe Reader 9. Note that "Spin" works better than "Rotate" and that the lighting and transparency can be changed to view the joinery through the wood beams.

Arched timber braces with a minwax stain. The wood is rough sawn that has been semi-sanded to remove the splinters. It has a very nice look.

Post and Beam Frame on Lake Sunapee

Lake Sunapee through a Post and Beam

This photo shows the inside of the boathouse. A boat lift will be bolted to the beams so the owner can raise his boats and store them out of the water.

Post and Beam Lakehouse with Deck

Side View of the Lake House

The boat house has a nice deck to walk on all the way around - it is a nice idea and gives the owner plenty of room for water toys and seating.
