The Stonehill Barn in Vermont is a classic bank barn style fabricated with rough sawn Hemlock. The barn was designed by Ertel Associates Architects and features rough sawn barn board siding on the exterior. The interior is rough sawn hemlock beams with a driftwood finish. It is what is called a “Bank Barn” because the barn ins built into an earthen bank, allowing for ground level access on the bottom and second floors. In the past, barns of this style were popular to house livestock on the lower floor and carriages on the upper floor.
