Elegant Timber Home On The Lake

This project we call House on the Lake. We should have called it House almost IN the Lake, it’s that close!

This is one of our most elegant timber frame projects to date. It has graceful glulaminated arches and warm, rich douglas fir timber.

Our crew doesn’t alway raise the frames we construct. House on the Lake is an example of a frame our crew didn’t raise on site. In these cases we typically pre-assemble the pieces at our shop to be sure the joinery and connections work as expected. For this project, we assembled & disassembled the entire upper section, the glulaminated arches, and the corbels pre-shipment.
