Construction of the Napa California Barn and Recreation Center
California is a great state for timber frames. There’s beautiful scenery, mountains, the ocean, vineyards, sunsets, and warm weather perfect for enjoying the outdoors. California combines the rustic, warm beauty of the West and the high-end elegance of the rich and famous. It’s a place of duality. Timber frames are similar types of structures. Timber Frames can be used to build rustic hand hewn barns as well as gorgeous homes, and the natural beauty of wood can at once feel simple yet refined. California is also a place to enjoy the outdoors year-round. Timber Frames are structures that can facilitate that and easily provide indoor/outdoor living and entertainment areas. There’s nothing like sitting under a Timber Frame Pavilion, watching the sunset while sipping a glass of wine.
The Napa California Barn on the Paul Estate
California is a wonderful place to build a home or raise a barn. We’ve enjoyed working on projects in California and hope to be able to put up even more Timber Frames there in the future. California projects feature large structures surrounded by wide-open spaces. And California Barns and Homes can also incorporate locally sourced lumber. Vermont Timber Works enjoys designing large barns and spaces and would love to work with more wineries, event venues, horse stables, churches, and private homeowners.
Building Site for the Napa California Barn Recreation Center on the Paul Estate
Two projects we’ve done in California are the Rancho Santa Fe Pavilion and the Napa California Barn.
The Rancho Santa Fe Pavilion in Rancho Santa Fe California
The Rancho Santa Fe Pavilion in Rancho Santa Fe California was built using planed and chamfered Douglas Fir. The trusses feature a modified Scissor Truss Design with black steel tie rods. The Pavilion was designed with a kitchen, stone fireplace, and entertainment area with retractable doors so that the outdoors and the beautiful California scenery could be enjoyed in the open air, while also retaining the comfort and elegance of a closed structure when desired.
The Paul Recreation Barn in Napa California
The Paul Recreation Barn in Napa California was designed to be an art and recreation center for local CA children. The California Barn features a Music Studio and an Arts and Crafts area. The Recreation Barn is just a portion of the Paul estate which will also include a guest cottage, a pavilion, and an outdoor kitchen. The Napa California Barn located amongst grapevines in the heart of wine country was custom designed and fabricated from Hand Hewn Oak.
